What You Can Expect From Us:

1. Integrity, Honesty and Openness within the Owner/Farrier Relationship

2. Punctuality in relation to our appointments.

3. You will receive a call immediately, if we become unavoidably detained for any reason.

4. We will make every attempt to call and verify an appointment 24 hours prior to the appointment time.

5. We will attempt to return all phone calls. Emergency calls receive top priority.

6. We stay up to date on all new techniques, research, and findings within Equine Veterinary Medicine, as they apply to the limbs, and share them freely with you.

7. We make it a point to discuss cost for all work, including therapeutic, prior to rendering any service. We will discuss all options for shoeing.

8. We will refer you to another equine professional, if we believe it will be in your horse's best interest.

9. We will treat you and your horse with respect. If working on your horse becomes unsafe for the horse, or us, we will advise you of our options, and their cost, before proceeding.

10. We will do out best to meet and exceed your expectations.

What We Expect From You:

1. We reserve the right to stop working at any time we feel it is becoming unsafe.

2. We reserve the right to ask for sedation when warranted.

3. We EXPECT to get paid immediately following completion of the shoeing job.

4. A sheltered, flat, level, well-lit working area must be provided. We will not work in mud, outside, or in a stall. We prefer to work on rubber mats, and prefer to use cross ties. The shoeing area must also be clear of obstacles which could become shrapnel.

5. We expect to have access to water and electricity.

6. We demand that dogs and children are kept well away from the shoeing area.

7. We appreciate if you do not schedule us for the same day and time as the floater, veterinarian, hay delivery, grain delivery, solar eclipse, space shuttle launch, or Armageddon. We do not rush, and do not want to rush others. Quiet is good. Stress is bad!

8. We expect that your horse will be caught and ready for us WHEN we arrive. We should be able to start work the second the back of the truck is opened. Waiting for a horse to be caught and haltered is not acceptable.

9. We expect that your horse won't be covered in a layer of mud, or soaking wet when we arrive. A dry clean horse is a happy horse!

10. We expect that your horse will be trained to stand for the farrier. We are not trainers, nor do we wish to be.
